Challenge Accepted by MagicKitsune Challenge Accepted by MagicKitsune
Reiko challenging the monstrous Misuzu from Natsume Yuujinchou. This was done for enemytosleep on the Natsume Yuujinchou Exchange on Archiveofourown.org. Misuzu has such a distinct look about him. My art style is usually pretty cute, but I want to be able to draw cool or creepy things in the future...

Done with copics and a white gel pen on gray-colored card stock. I'm still trying to work out the best way to adjust scans of my traditional artwork. It always looks to weird on the computer screen. Anyone know of good tutorials for that?

I made a tut for photos on YouTube but the basic principles are the same I use for editing my scans to try and make them look closer to the originals: [link] It's not great, but it's there. LOL

Do you mean color correction or getting the levels/curves/histogram straightened out?

All of it D: Basically turning a raw scan into a presentable picture online. Right now I just play with the contrast and levels until I'm somewhat satisfied, but I wonder if there's a specific way to do it.

Ehhh not that I know of. If you have a well calibrated monitor all you can really do is make it how you want it to look I would imagine. The only thing I was going to suggest is the levels, curves, contrast and such that it sounds like you already do.
